hey i’m 13 years old and i’m trying to lose 30 pounds, so for Christmas i’m asking for an elliptical trainer… do you think an elliptical trainer will help me a lot to lose weight? please help me ! any advice ! and please don’t tell me to go to this special site.. believe me, you wont get picked as best answer, and i wont even bother reading what you wrote…

so now that schools are starting again i designed my diet plan for the whole year. tell me what you think
I eat a breakfast( that has bread cheese and turkey in it in order to hold me throught the day)
a small sandwich at school
fat-free meat with salad for lunch
a fruit after 3 hours
and light dinner like yogurt with apples

Also im going to be working out 1 hour per day , 5 days a week on an elliptical trainer i bought so i can work out at home.
Im 17 years old , male , 6 feet and 231lbs. do you think i will lose weight using this method? thanks!all answers appreciated

Okay so this is my plan (im doing it as a lifestyle, its not a diet)
Sundays - Fridays:
Exercise:
15 min weight training
15 min elliptical trainer

Eating plan:
Breakfast: a serving of fresh fruit (low starch low sugar and low fat) e.g green apple with 6 ounces skimmed plain yogurt

Lunch: afternoon
* bowl of veggies (fresh or cooked) but i stay away from starchy or fatty kinds like beans,peas, potatoes, corn,avocadoes,olives,carrots
and
* good portion of lean meat (e.g 7 ounces skinless grilled chicken)

Drink lots of water

Saturdays: day off

Do you think i can lose 10-15 pounds by the end of 2008? (116 days)

Open Question: HELLPP!! My elliptical machine ramp is stuck - can anyone help me?

I bought a 546i EFX Elliptical trainer from a resort that was upgrading their equipment. A couple months ago I started to really use the machine and I love it so much. However, this week the incline ramp would only go up and it is not going down when I press the button. I tried WD-40 but that does not work.

I called Precor and they told me to call a company in FLorida because I live in the Virgin Islands. I have not been able to get through with the number they gave me.

Anyone has any suggestions with what I can do? or what maybe the problem with the ramp on the machine?

I’m a 22 year old male, 5′10, about 195 pounds. I’m starting an exercise routine on a elliptical trainer and I want to tone up a little and burn off excess fat.

Right now my plan is to start out 15 minutes a day for the first couple days, then go 20 - 25 minutes a day the following week or two, then 30 minutes per day by the end of the month. Is this a good plan? Or should I change it? Also, when I reach 30mins a day, is that a good routine to keep up indefinitely?

How many days out of the week should I do this?

Okay so I’m a 14 year old female and tell me If i eat and exercise healthy

Exercise plan:
30 minutes Elliptical Trainer
15 minutes walking
15 minutes weight training (lunges, hip workouts, stomach workouts,…)
i do this everyday 4 days a week

Eating Plan:
Breakfast: 6 ounces of skimmed plain yogurt + 1 serving of kashi cereal
Lunch: healthy sanwhich (2 slices healthy brown bread (no sugar) 2 thin slices of lean turkey breast, 1 slice of 97% fat free cheese and a handful of fresh baby carrots or a fresh plum

Dinner: bowl of fresh salad (lettuce, cucumbers, tomatos, add herbs and spices that are 0 calories (no salt) + a palm sized or 3 ounces portion of lean meat like skinless grilled chicken

Drink 8 cups of water everyday and i chew sugar free gum
i also dont eat anything to hours before i sleep

so healthy?? what are changes that i can make??
