Open Question: How to lose eight pounds in one month?
Monday, August 4th, 2008I am a 19 year old guy, 5′10.
I used to weigh 190 pounds, but went on an extreme and strict diet and got down to 152 pounds.
I’ve become a lot more lenient with what I eat, so I have gained some weight back. I am at 165 pounds right now.
I am not that uncomfortable with that weight, but I would like to get down to about 157-160 pounds before I go back to college next month.
When I lost the forty pounds, I didn’t exercise, and my diet was borderline starvation.
I’ve tried losing this weight all summer, and when I work out (treadmill, elliptical trainer), I don’t lose anything. I gain weight if anything.
If I starve (I use the word “starve” very loosely. I am not anorexic) myself, I do lose weight but I inevitably have some binge that week and my weight goes back up.
My question is: for the rest of this month, should I be working out? Should I just continue being strict with my diet? What should I do?
By the way, I don’t want to gain muscle. I want the number on the scale to be low.
